Google 推出了一项全新的翻译服务，即 Google Translator Toolkit（谷歌官方中文名称：谷歌翻译辅助系统）。这项服务整合了已有的 Google Translate 服务，支持从英
文到其他50多种语言的翻译。使用该服务需要登录 Google 帐户。

该翻译系统秉承了 Google 产品一贯的简单风格，但它具有的功能却不简单。首先它支持对 TXT、Word 和 HTML 等常见文字文件的翻译，并内嵌了 WYSIWYG（所见即所得）编辑器。其次，这个系统同 Google Docs 一样，具有分享功能，可以与多人共同创作（翻译）。对于翻译来源，除了常见的通过文件上传和通过URL地址获取以外，甚至提供了直接从 Wikipedia 和 Knol 进行翻译的功能。
